Moshe Tabibnia Gallery announces a new program starting October 2016 - TEXTILES REVEALED. Short exhibitions introduced by guided tours will present unique works of textile art distinctive of the Gallery.

Celestial Garden

6 October - 5 November 2016

The exhibition Celestial Garden, first in the program Textiles Revealed, introduces the theme of the terrestrial garden as a metaphore of the heavenly. It aims to present a series of different representations how paradise was received in as many weaving regions such as Persia, Turkey, India and Central Asia. It will reveal how diverse civilisations and traditions converged in an iconographic theme common to most of the ancient cultures.
Guided tours and informative leaflets are provided. Francesca Fiorentino - Moshe Tabibnia Research Centre will introduce and guide through the exhibition 6 October at 6 p.m. The next tour will be held on October 8th at 11 a.m.
