Thanks to the work of the Foundation, the city of Milan, a major centre for international rug collectors, will soon have a museum exclusively dedicated to antique textiles and carpets. The museum will be located in the heart of Brera, and is scheduled to open in 2011.
MATAM represents a unique entity in Italy and in Europe. It is a place where, along with the conservation and display of collections, international exhibitions and cultural events will be hosted, in a constant effort for excellence in quality, an element the MATAM foundation strongly believes in.
