The ‘Deities, Monkeys and Signs of the Zodiac’ exhibition stems from Moshe Tabibnia’s desire to re-echo, through Italy, the French celebrations inaugurated with the exhibit 'Les Gobelins 1607-2007 / Revealed Treasures: Four Centuries of Creation' (Paris, 12 May - 30 September 2007), organized by the Galerie des Gobelins in collaboration with the Mobilier National and timed to commemorate four hundred years of activity of the Manufacture des Gobelins at 42 Avenue des Gobelins, Paris. Moshe Tabibnia has given to a wider audience the opportunity to learn more about the Les Gobelins and their creations setting up the exhibition entitled ‘Deities, Monkeys and Signs of the Zodiac’ at the Gallery (Milan, 8-30 November 2008), where a cycle of twelve silk woven tapestries with wool thread stitched detailing is now on view.
