After La Scala’s premiere of Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde, the theatre’s artists and audience enjoyed dining in Palazzo Marino’s court yard of honour [...], which was transformed into a sumptuous salon housing the Royal table (26 persons) as well as a number of rectangular and round tables for the occasion. The palace’s balconies facing the courtyard were adorned with precious antique carpets lent by the Moshe Tabibnia Gallery; some of these carpets will be displayed at the future Museum of Antique Textile Arts established under the aegida of the MATAM Foundation in the quarter of Brera, Milan, and scheduled to open in the foreseeable future [...]".
