A Thousand and One Night Carpets in Tabibnia’s Newly Renovated Gallery
Rassegna Stampa
01/11/2006
“Thirty carpets from the world’s most prestigious collections are the protagonists of the great exhibition showing at the newly renovated Moshe Tabibnia Gallery (Milan, Via Brera 3). [...] To allow the audience to fully understand the value of the carpets over the centuries looking at the almost unseen or extremely rare exemplars on view, the exhibition path starts with a fifteenth-century ‘small pattern Holbein’ from western Anatolia and continues with the systematic display of the more famous genres: ‘Lotto’, Ushak, Mamluk, Damascus, Cairene, ‘Polonaise’, ‘dragon carpets’ and much more. This extraordinary gathering of antique carpets truly offers something unique to the eye. [...]”.
