From 14 October to 11 November 2006, the exhibition entitled ‘Milestones in the History of Carpets’ will be showing at Moshe Tabibnia’s newly refurbished gallery. It is the first exhibition to be held at the Gallery since it reopened, after a one-year renovation. This event is part of an ambitious research and exhibition project that Moshe Tabibnia undertook several years ago and fits perfectly with past shows that won high praise for the care and attention with which they were curated (worthy of mention, amongst others, is the ‘Classical Oriental Carpets of the XVI and XVII century' exhibition held in 1999). ‘Milestones in the History of Carpets’ represents the achievement of an important result in this endeavour as the exhibition stands out for the exceptional quality, rarity and variety of the exemplars displayed.
