“In concomitance with the exhibit ‘Il frammento ritrovato. Il tappeto di caccia e altre storie’ [...] showing at the Poldi Pezzoli Museum until October 12th, 2008, the Moshe Tabibnia Gallery [...] presents [....]a complementary exhibition that showcases nearly twenty carpets bearing some analogy with the ones on view at the Poldi Pezzoli Museum, both in terms of value and dating (as ascribable to the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries). The title of the exhibition, “Revealed Wefts” mirrors the curators’ aim to shed light on the beauty and secrets of the world of textiles from eastern and middle-eastern countries [...] and, not least, to disclose that this exhibition and the related cultural activities, including lectures, which will follow in autumn represent the first step taken towards the realization of the Matam project [...]”.
