The book presents an in-depth analysis on the carpets and textiles painted in the works of the Venetian painter in the Marche region. Studies on Anatolian carpets and its portrayals in Italian painting from the Veneto and Marche region are accompanied by archival and documentary research performed on the Marche region, with the goal of better understanding the economic context in connection with carpet trade between Italy and the near East.
